Messages of support and best wishes have been sent by concerned colleagues of Conservative councillor Sian Dawson, who is very ill in hospital with pneumonia.

Babergh chair, and fellow Hadleigh councillor, Kathryn Grandon sent her regards at the beginning of an extraordinary district council meeting last night, with fellow district council Mick Fraser adding his best wishes.

Babergh councillors from all groups have expressed their concern and sent messages via Babergh leader John Ward to pass on to Dr Dawson's family.

Dr Dawson, who has a PhD degree, has represented Hadleigh North since May 2015 and runs the Queen Street Foot Care Clinic in the town.
