Eleven new jobs have been created in Hadleigh after a new store moved into the town.

The Original Factory Shop, which claims to be the UK's leading local, value brand retailer, has partnered with the East of England Co-op to open a new concession inside their Hadleigh supermarket.

Although no official opening dat has been confirmed, it expected the new store will open in the second week of September.

The brand new concession, which occupies 2,500 square feet, will see the retailer bring its range of bargain-based clothing, pet products, electricals, homewares, a party shop service and reserve and collect to the local community in a shop within a shop concept.

Laura Brittain, store manager for The Original Factory, said: "We've got a fantastic new team and brand new concession here at the Hadleigh Co-op.

"The fact that we have been able to recruit for 11 new job positions within the local area adds to the buzz and helps us to better serve our local community with expert knowledge and advice.

"It marks the coming together of two great community retailers and is testament to the importance of community stores and the role that these shops play in local life."

Brendan Smith, head of retail at the East of England Co-op, said: "The products and services provided by The Original Factory Shop have proven popular with our customers in other locations, so we're very pleased to be expanding our partnership with them.

"We very much look forward to welcoming their teams to our stores."

It is anticipated The Original Factory Shop will announce the opening date this week on the store's Facebook page here...

The Original Factory Shop concession is located at the East of England Co-op, 70 High St, Hadleigh, which used to be home to M&Co until it closed on August 21.

The Original Factory Shop in Hadleigh will be open from 7am to 10pm Monday-Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
