100 Years of Jazz Piano with the James Pearson Trio.

James Pearson is the Artistic Director at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club. A world-class pianist and composer, James and his trio take us on a whistle-stop tour through a century of jazz piano greats. Celebrating the music of Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, George Shearing, Erroll Garner, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and many more, this is a show full of anecdote, wit and virtousic piano playing.

Also an active classical player, James' performances of the Gershwin Piano Concerto and Rhapsody in Blue were broadcast on BBC Radio 2 and his concert of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto was aired on Classic FM.

His career as a jazz musician has taken him all over the world, working with Dame Cleo Laine, Maria Ewing, Marian Montgomery, Petula Clark, The John Wilson Orchestra, Elvin Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Buddy Greco, Johnny Griffin, Joseph Horowitz, Richard Rodney Bennett, Ray Davies, Polly Gibbons, Nigel Kennedy, Robbie Williams, Rufus Wainwright, Gregory Porter, Imelda May, Jeff Beck and Paul McCartney.

Here in Hadleigh he is joined by Jeremy Brown (Bass) and George Double (Drums) for what will be two unmissable performances of jazz at its finest.
