The lights are permanently going out on a family-run Hadleigh electrical company at the end of next week.

Hadleigh Lighting & Electrical Ltd in Semer Court, Crockatt Road, which has been in the Sellen family for more than 30 years. is closing after current owners Keith and Linda Sellen who have run it for the past 15 years, decided to retire.

While a new owner has been found for the property, Mr Sellen, aged 57, confirmed the business was shutting down and no one else would be taking over.

A closing down sale is in progress at the shop, which sells interior and exterior lighting and lamps.

Mr Sellen declined to comment further.
