Hadleigh club reveals plans for new commercial kitchen

A bid to improve the kitchen facilities at Hadleigh United has been made to Babergh.

The football club based in Tinkers Lane, Hadleigh, have applied to demolish the existing burger bar and kiosk and build a new commercial kitchen and pay kiosk.

Chairman John Chenery has made no secret that the club is looking to improve its infrastructure to make it a better experience for home supporters and visiting fans.

A new commercial kitchen would also allow the club extra income by allowing it to be rented out for hire by private parties.

The changes, all inside the ground, are not expected to affect anyone else and will be seen in planning terms a benefit.

Hadleigh United, nicknamed the Brettsiders, play in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Premier Division and are currently 15th after a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Newmarket Town.

Meanwhile on the pitch manager Steve Holder has tweaked his coaching staff by adding Andy Lambert as assistant manager after moving up form being reserves manager, while Darren Harvey steps up from a youth coaching role takes up over the Reserves role.
