Widely regarded as one of the best acoustic rock covers band in the region, The Blaggers make their debut appearance at The Cock Inn in Hadleigh this Saturday night.

The trio of veteran musicians serve up songs from the likes of The Beatles, The Eagles, ELO, Simon & Garfunkel, Crowded House and many more. "We like to put our own spin on the songs," says lead singer and guitarist, Tony Shevlin, "with lush harmonies and a side order of mandolin."

If regular visitors to the Cock Inn think that the band looks familiar, you'd be right.

The same line-up also perform a mixture of traditional Irish songs and Irish rock songs from such great artists as Thin Lizzy, U2 and Van Morrison under the name Great Craic.

Shevlin added: "We have loved playing at The Cock Inn as Great Craic. It's such a friendly pub and the crowd are a lively bunch. I'm sure they're going to enjoy seeing our alter-ego The Blaggers."

The music starts at 9pm until 11.30pm. Admission is free.
