Leads the care team in providing the best possible quality care and support to service users and their carers/family.Qualifications required NMC Registered Nurse Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or willingness to complete training Evidence of continued professional developmentExperience, Skills and Ability Effective verbal and written communication Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector Experience in neurological or palliative care is desirable Able to work both within a team and independently Able to implement and monitor clinical standards Able to actively support and participate in change Able to resolve problems and identify and implement solutions Good interpersonal skills Demonstrable skills in leadership and supervision Competent IT SkillsKey Responsibilities Responsible for providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to other team members as appropriate Demonstrating own activities to new or less experienced colleagues and carrying out day-to-day supervision of work of others Supporting education, training, demonstration and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students as appropriate Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised clinical care of service users using evidence-based guidelines and giving specialist advice to service users Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality service users care and to ensure the continuous improvement of the client nursing service. Following policies and contributing ideas on proposals for change Ensuring the care team provide all care in line with the evidence-based care plan.
