If yes to the above, then apply for the below role! We are looking for a skilled mechanical fitter / assembler who has a strong knowledge of hydraulic systems. The following role is for a well-established engineering firm who have been operating in Ipswich for over 40 years!To be considered for this position you need to have a mechanical fitting background, ideally with a good understanding of hydraulic systems & be competent in mechanical assembly. You will be expected to work independently & must be able to read engineering (CAD) drawings.You will be working on heavier plant equipment, primarily used within the construction industry.Fitter duties include: -

• Assembly of hydraulic equipment
• Ensuring all equipment & parts are washed down & cleaned prior to fitting
• Test the products after assembly to ensure the highest level of quality standards are met
• Read & work from engineering drawings (CAD)
• MUST be flexible & willing to assist and work in other departments as and when required

Ideally you will have a background in mechanical fitting or similar discipline. We may consider applicants who have worked in an assembly capacity & offer further training as mechanical engineers.Hours are 07:00-15:30, Monday Friday.
