Mobile gas engineer specialising in commercial catering is required for this Ipswich based company. Day to day your travel could be Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and East London so you need a driving licence for the company van you are provided, working Monday-Friday 40 hours per week. The company provide maintenance, repairs, servicing, engineering, and installations across a wide range of commercial catering equipment for various industries such as schools, hotels etc. Below is a guide for the necessary expertise/requirements needed:

  • COMCAT 1,3,5
  • CCCN1 core commercial catering NG
  • NG to LPG conversion (including mobile units)
  • IT skills as app-based technology used for jobs
  • Installation of pipework
  • Enhanced DBS

The office is based in Ipswich so this needs to be a reasonable commute from your home. Alongside the van you will be provided with phone, credit card, uniform, and fuel card. There is a call out rota that involves one weekend per month, which is subsidised accordingly.

Ideally experienced as a commercial catering gas engineer but if happy to be retrained/qualified in this field then domestic engineers will be considered. The company invest in current and future skill sets of all employees. There is also the possibility of recruiting a lower paid role for someone who has previously worked in the commercial catering maintenance industry.
