Michelle Denny Recruitment are delighted to be working with fellow regional business Scrutton Bland to assist them in finding a new Outsourcing Analyst (Bookkeeper) who will be the newest member of their growing team. Although this is an office-based role, it can be either Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, or Colchester. What you will be doing Working closely with clients of the business, you will be undertaking all aspects of bookkeeping on client site, but also remotely. This will involve helping clients with their accounting systems, setting up and maintaining bookkeeping records and VAT returns, and assisting clients who maintain their own records. What you can offer To be successful in this exciting role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience as a bookkeeper
  • Being comfortable dealing with all aspects of bookkeeping
  • Experience with accounting software, including Xero. Experience with Dext Prepare would be of benefit
  • Ability to deal confidently with a variety of stakeholders promptly, confidently, and courteously
  • Flexibility to be able to work with clients remotely as well as at their premises as required
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A strong understanding of VAT principles
