As sure as night follows day, an ex player will come back to haunt you.

So it was for Hadleigh as recently released Joel Glover netted against them for his new club Ipswich Wanderers, leaving Steve Holders side a mountain to climb.

United were up for the task, and there new found resilience, and finishing,

Liam Wales grabbed the equaliser before half time.

They went ahead early in the second half when Ryan Taylor wrong-footed the Wanderers keeper when he got on the end of a Patrick Jordan shot.

Glover in his Hadleigh days

Skipper Jack Baker scored what true out to be the winner when he converted ascot kick after Max Dinnell was fouled in the box.

Ten-men Wanderers got a late consolation but Holder's Hadleigh held on for another three pints, which sees hem move ups o sixth in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division.
