Dear Sir ,

I would like to put across my view of the potential redevelopment of Layham road sports and recreation ground.

If the redevelopment goes ahead it would mean the loss of approximately 1/3rd of the open space that is there for everyone to enjoy at present.

Part of the construction would be a large car park and flood lights ,both of which can be found at HUFC.

Looking at the schedule of use the biggest user by far would be HUFC, if the treasurer at HUFC thinks that it is a sound financial case why doesn't HUFC turn their pitch into 3g and they could reap the financial benefit, why pay for 2 lots of car parking and floodlights?

This way the open space enjoyed by many would remain and the sports clubs would get the facility they apparently need .

The local football facilities plan written by the Football Foundation for the Babergh area suggests HUFC or Hadleigh HIgh School not Layham Road as a potential for investment

Yours Faithfully,

Mr B.
