Sunday Thought

The first recorded Punch & Judy Show in Britain took place at Covent Garden in London in 1662. The first elections in the UK came in 1695.

Today's Hadleigh sunset: 20:33

Weather:

Mainly dry with cloud breaking to sunny spells. Feeling pleasantly warm in afternoon sunshine. Isolated showers are possible, perhaps heavier and thundery during the evening and overnight. Winds easing later. Maximum temperature 22c, low of 11c.

Orwell Bridge:

Open

Joke of the day:

Absolutely disgusting behaviour I saw down the front yesterday. I saw a man and a woman having an almighty argument in front of loads of kids, suddenly the woman smacked the guy in the head and it all kicked off. There was a massive brawl and someone called the police. This poor copper turned up on his own and took his truncheon to the man, the guy managed to snatch it off him and began assaulting the copper and his wife.

Then out of nowhere a crocodile crept up and stole all the sausages...

Sunday reflection:

[I]Sound praises to the Lord, all the earth; break into singing and make music. Make music to the Lord with the lyre,

with the lyre and the voice of melody. With trumpets and the sound of the horn

sound praises before the Lord, the King.[I]

Psalm 98.5-7
